The List Awards Announces 2026 Finalists as Public Voting Opens

Identities Media Holdings has announced finalists for the third edition of The List Awards, as public voting opens across four categories.

The 2026 edition is being held under the theme “Celebrating Impact.” Honouring Unsung Heroes.” The awards feature 13 core categories, with The List Awards Board of Advisors introducing a Special Heroes category this year, bringing the total to 14. Public voting will take place in the Entertainment Impact Award, Youth Impact Award, Storyteller/Journalism Impact Award, and Emerging Technologies Impact Award categories.

Public voting closes on 16 September 2026 at 23:59 hours. Finalists in the four publicly voted categories may share the official voting link and invite members of the public to support them.

Now in its third edition, The List Awards celebrates impact across business, humanitarian action, social development, human rights, youth development, climate and environment, sport, entertainment, storytelling, arts and culture, technology and Pan African leadership. The newly introduced Special Heroes category recognises extraordinary acts of courage, humanity, and selflessness by ordinary citizens.

Rooted in Hunhu/Ubuntu, The List Awards provides more than recognition, offering changemakers visibility, access to high-level networks, opportunities for collaboration, and a platform to amplify their work.

As is the tradition of The List Awards, winners and first runners-up will be celebrated through a curated awards experience that includes pre-awards capacity-building and personal development workshops, high-level networking, visibility opportunities and prize money. This year’s celebration will culminate at The List Awards Gala on 6 November 2026 at Zimbali Gardens in Harare.
