The Sport Impact Award runner-up, Lawrence Tapiwa Kamukapa, has played a vital role in promoting sports as a means of fostering community spirit and encouraging youth participation through the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee. His efforts contribute significantly to the development of young athletes and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Yvonne Mateko, recognized as the runner-up in the Poverty Alleviation Impact Award, has been instrumental in implementing programs aimed at improving the living conditions of marginalized communities through her work in menstrual health advocacy and supporting menstruating girls. Yvonne shared, “No More Hidden Struggles! My mission to eradicate period poverty gained recognition at The List Awards by Identities Media. I made it to the top two finalists in poverty alleviation.”

In the field of human rights, Chinga Govhati was honored as the runner-up for the Human Rights Impact Award. Her advocacy work has been crucial in raising awareness about human rights issues and pushing for justice and equity in her community. She is the founder of Help Her Heal, which supports young girls and women suffering from gender-based violence.

For the Climate and Environment Impact Award, Justice Muzondiwa was recognized as a runner-up for his initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability. Justice expressed, “Being nominated for The List Awards was the most humbling gesture I have ever received after years of environmental impact.”

Angelina Simangele Nyatanga, the runner-up for the Business Impact Award, has embraced innovative business practices that prioritize social responsibility. Her work demonstrates how entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for positive change in society.
In the Social Impact Award category, Nomqhele Samantha Siziba was recognized for her impactful contributions to addressing social issues and advocating for community well-being. Her dedication underscores the importance of social responsibility in fostering inclusive societies.
The Humanitarian Impact Award runner-up, Tinevimbo Terry Anne Matambanadzo, a development practitioner and girls’ and gender advocate, has made significant contributions to humanitarian efforts, providing support and assistance to young girls and women with sanitary wear. Her compassion and service to others exemplify the spirit of humanitarianism.
In the entertainment sector, Fungai Jayaguru was acknowledged as the runner-up for the Entertainment Impact Award. She remarked, “We won the First Runner Certificate in the Entertainment Impact Award. We really had a nice time and felt celebrated and well appreciated. The event was one of the few glamorous ones where no one had to pay to be recognized. We were instead spoiled and refunded our transport and accommodation expenses!”
Finally, Elizabeth Nyaguyo was honored as the runner-up for the Storyteller Journalism Impact Award. Her commitment to storytelling has played a vital role in highlighting critical social issues, fostering dialogue, and empowering communities through informed narratives.
