Celebrating Impact: The List Awards 2026 Nominations Remain Open

HARARE – Nominations for the 2026 edition of The List Awards remain open, with organisers calling on individuals and organisations across Southern and East Africa to nominate outstanding changemakers whose work is transforming communities.

Founded by Identities Media Holdings, The List Awards celebrate individuals who embody the values of Ubuntu and Hunhu through selfless service, leadership, innovation and community development.

Since its launch in Zimbabwe in 2024, the awards have evolved into one of the region’s premier recognition platforms, honouring individuals whose contributions are creating lasting social impact while connecting them with influential leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, business executives and development partners.

Speaking on the ongoing nomination process, The List Awards Board Chairperson, Pastor Philani Nyatsanza, said the initiative was established to shine a spotlight on individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed.

“The List Awards was created to honour the quiet leaders, innovators, community builders and champions of humanity whose impact deserves recognition. As we continue receiving nominations for the 2026 edition, we invite people across the region to help us identify and celebrate those shaping a better future for our communities,” he said.

Nominations opened on 15 June 2026 and will close on 26 July 2026, with individuals aged 18 years and above eligible for nomination across a range of award categories.

Beyond recognising excellence, The List Awards offers finalists and winners a platform for personal and professional growth through regional exposure, strategic networking and opportunities to connect with decision-makers, mentors, investors and potential collaborators.

Participants also stand to benefit from prize money and other forms of support aimed at strengthening their work and expanding their impact within communities.

To promote inclusivity, the organisers also provide hospitality and welfare support to finalists, ensuring deserving nominees from different parts of the region can attend the awards regardless of financial circumstances.

For many previous finalists and winners, the value of participating has extended well beyond the awards ceremony, resulting in new partnerships, business opportunities, mentorship relationships and greater visibility for their initiatives.

As nominations continue, The List Awards is once again encouraging the public to recognise those who are quietly creating positive change, offering a platform that celebrates impact while opening doors to meaningful opportunities for growth, collaboration and regional recognition.
