The List Awards 2024 has concluded with a luxurious and vibrant celebration of excellence, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and beyond. This prestigious event took place on November 8, 2024, in Harare, Zimbabwe, recognizing outstanding individuals across various sectors who embody the spirit of impact and change.
This year’s winners and finalists traveled from far and wide, including some who journeyed all the way from South Africa. The winners walked away with a treasure trove of rewards, including monetary prizes, customized trophies, and certificates. Additionally, those traveling from over 100 km outside Harare received support for transport, accommodation, and complimentary tickets for their guests, making the event a true celebration of their achievements.
The Role Model Pan African Impact Award was awarded to Vengai Dzvedere, the founder and CEO of Crypto Hub, who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and influence, uplifting countless individuals through his dedication and service. Similarly, the Sport Impact Award went to Ernest Muduwa, recognized for promoting sports as a vehicle for social change and youth engagement.

Pastor Ruth Makandiwa, founder of Agape Family Care, received the Poverty Alleviation Impact Award for her tireless efforts in improving the lives of vulnerable communities. Her work exemplifies the profound impact dedicated individuals can have on alleviating poverty and creating sustainable solutions.

The Human Rights Impact Award was presented to Chantelle Moilla Shangare, the founder and Managing Director of Mothers of Special Heroes Trust, acknowledged for her unwavering commitment to advocating for human rights and social justice, especially in the area of those with disabilities. Her efforts have played a crucial role in raising awareness and fighting for disability equity in her community.Elizaberth Gundu was honored with the Climate and Environment Impact Award for her initiatives addressing climate and environmental issues under the Clean Marondera, while empowering communities to take action toward a sustainable future. Her work highlights the importance of environmental stewardship in our modern world.

The Business Impact Award was presented to Lesly Takudzwa Marange, the founder of Glytime Foods, who has embraced community-impactful approaches to his business that prioritize social responsibility and community enhancement. In an interview with ZBC TV against the backdrop of ‘The List Awards 1st Edition,’ Lesly remarked, “The List Award is unique because it’s not looking at the strides in terms of monetary value, but at how we impacted the community with that money as business people.”
Sasha Ndebele from rural Matobo received the Social Impact Award for her dedication to addressing social issues and improving the lives of those around her. Her commitment to community engagement underscores the importance of collective action in creating meaningful change.
The Youth Impact Award was jointly awarded to Jussa Kudherezera, the Director of Manica Youth Assembly, and Wellington Bakaimani, the founder and Director of Simukaupenye Integrated Youth Academy. Wellington expressed his commitment on Facebook: “As the winner of the Youth Impact Award by The List Awards, I feel a deep obligation to inspire, motivate, and spark action among African youths. The potential of our youth is immense, and together we can transform the region.”

Pastor Ruth Makandiwa again received the Humanitarian Impact Award, recognizing her selfless contributions to humanitarian efforts that bring hope and support to individuals facing adversity.
In the entertainment sector, Hope Masike received the Entertainment Impact Award for her ability to use her art as a platform for social change, inspiring audiences and fostering cultural appreciation through her work.
The Artist Pan African Impact Award was awarded to Leonard Chibamu, recognizing his remarkable contributions to the arts and the transformative power of creativity in community development.

All the way from Masvingo, Theresa Takafuma was honored with the Storyteller Journalism Impact Award. She noted, “Most of the work I do in Masvingo has not been recognized in such a way before. This award not only validates my efforts but also motivates me to continue telling the stories that matter.”
The List Awards 2024 was a joyful celebration of these incredible winners and their impactful work. The event served as a reminder of the power of individuals dedicated to making a difference.
