About us
The List Awards are a high-profile initiative by Identities Media, recognizing distinguished citizens making impactful changes in various fields such as community development, business, arts, media, science, sports, humanitarian efforts, and the arts. These A-list awards aim to raise the bar for recognition in Zimbabwe and Africa, comparable to the prestige of the Oscars in America. We wish to restore the integrity and respect of awards which have become too commercialised at the detriment of the deserving women and men who work to impact our country and continent; therefore, our winners receive a comprehensive package (subject to sponsors), including financial rewards. The List Awards are more than an event; they are a celebration of extraordinary individuals who have made significant contributions across various domains whose work deserves to be elevated and highlighted through these awards. By being part of this landmark occasion, you are not just associating yourself or brand with excellency but actively participating in a movement that uplifts, inspires, and celebrates positive change.

The List Awards aim to promote transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. To ensure the integrity and independence of the nomination process, The List Awards Board has resolved to establish a Selection Committee to provide guidance in the selection framework for the awards’ integrity.
Why us
Purpose of The List Awards
Our awards seek to honour truly the deserving members of our society focusing solely on the winners, aiming to leave deserving individuals better off. While many awards in Africa ask nominees to pay a certain amount to attend awards or to buy a table to win an award, The List Awards by Identities Media seek to give back to these deserving individuals who have dedicated their lives to impact our communities. They walk away with money, along with other goodies from our partners. The awards also seek to restore integrity, prestige, creating an international ambiance of ‘feel-good’ to appreciate the deserving community champions. At the heart of these awards is to create a culture of giving back to the community as well as working for our community to deliver on the Zimbabwe and Africa we want. As others will win these cool prizes, citizens are motivated to also create an impact in their communities to win these awards in the future. They also celebrate the wonderful sacrifices by the daughters and sons of Africa, thus amplifying the light of those already making a difference to inspire others.
