What Are The List Awards?

Speaking at the second edition of The List Awards and the launch of the inaugural List Awards Magazine, Adv. Mashayamombe reflected on the inspiration behind the platform.
“When I first dreamt of The List Awards, I imagined a moment that would restore dignity to how we celebrate greatness. I dreamt of a night where ordinary people doing extraordinary things would be seen and honoured, not for their fame, but for their courage, service, and impact,” she said.
At its core, The List Awards recognises individuals and organisations that embody the values of Ubuntu and hunhu—those who dedicate themselves to uplifting others, advancing social justice, strengthening communities, and creating lasting change. Mashayamombe has championed storytelling as a vehicle for empowerment and social impact.
