A Vision is Made out Of Support By Others: Thanking Those Who Made The List Awards

The success of The List Awards for the first edition’s glitz, glamor and ability to meet its promises would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our key partners and sponsors. ZIMCODD under the support of USAID played pivotal role in making this event a reality, providing essential resources and guidance throughout the planning process. Their commitment to supporting the empowerment of community and its champions aligns perfectly with the mission of The List Awards.

As premium sponsors, ZIMCODD adapted and supported the Youth Impact and Social Impact Awards under their ongoing work of promoting with their SIYA project which is supported by the USAID, which promotes participation of youths in ending corruption and holding their leaders accountable in their communities. On why the found The List Awards relevant to support these two categories, the Acting Executive Director of ZIMCODD, Mr Johm Maketo said; “as ZIMCODD, we are committed to standing with every Zimbabwean who envisions fairer, more transparent and more prosperous nation that upholds intebgry in every measure”.

Neon partnered with us to provide the stunning lights, screens, and sound system that created an unforgettable atmosphere. MLC generously supported us with the software for the List Awards marks, ensuring a seamless and professional presentation. Old Mutual contributed by providing thoughtful gifts for our guests, enhancing the overall experience of the evening.

Additionally, several companies stepped up to support the event, including Old Mutual Insurance, Securico, Bakertilly and Gwatidzo, Winfield, Dandemutande, Pinnacle Holdings,  and others. Their contributions helped elevate the event and demonstrate a collective commitment to recognizing impactful individuals in our communities.

A special mention goes to the dedicated members of the List Awards Board, led by Pastor Philani, along with other esteemed members: Mrs. Mellany Msengezi, Ms. Simbisai Gumbo, Advocate Arthur Marara, and Mr. Munya Gwatidzo. Their vision and leadership were instrumental in guiding the awards toward success.

The Selection Committee, led by Ms. Kudzai Deve, worked diligently to ensure the integrity of the nomination and selection process. Committee members included Kuda Mzembe, Bridget Mambodiani, Mercy Dandira, Farai Chitombo, and Nompilo Simanje. Their expertise and dedication to recognizing excellence were crucial in identifying deserving awardees.

We also extend our gratitude to our jury members, including Rod Commissioner Matindike, Ms. Duduzile Moyo, Mr. Willis WaTaffi, and Mr. Chakanetsa Ruzvidzo, as well as our adjudicators: Bridgeti Mambondiani, Dion Tanaka Chitembwe, Mary Madura, Tariro Marcia Deve, Nyasha S Mafuta, Karen R Chikonzo, and Mercy  Dandira. Their efforts ensured a fair and transparent evaluation of the nominees.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Tatenda Gabi, the Assistant Projects Coordinator, whose tireless, enduring and unfailing work behind the scenes contributed significantly to the event’s success.
