To ensure the integrity and objectives of The List Awards are achieved thus to raise the bar for recognition in Zimbabwe and Africa, comparable to international prestigious awards such as the Oscars or the BET in America, The List Awards are governed by the Board of Advisors. This board is made of distinguished individuals of integrity who are also successful in their industries that include the Corporate, NGOs amongst others.
Philani Nyatsnza has 25 years of experience in cross-cultural youth development in the context of the church and social transformation organisations. Philani has a degree in theology, a diploma in leadership, a diploma in biblical studies, and an MBA degree from the University of Gloucestershire. He has developed training strategies for young people in multi-structured communities, to enhance their social development in Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Sweden. Philani is currently the Country Director for Higherlife Foundation Zimbabwe, responsible leadership in Higherlife Foundation. He oversees the organization’s administrative operations, program execution, culture, faith and development. Philani is also a board member in several other social impact organizations providing Afrocentric leadership and guidance to trustees and system holders. He desires to see young people and their communities developing into change-makers and transformers.
Arthur Marara is an award-winning attorney, author, business and transformational speaker. He is passionate financial literacy coach, trainer and speaker. Arthur is a celebrated public figure who is known for his blunt, honest and life transforming messages on Personal and Professional Development, Financial Wellness on one of Zimbabwe’s largest radio stations Star FM where he speaks to millions of people. He is also a well-respected financial wellness, and strategy coach and has worked with many teams throughout Zimbabwe through Initiating thought-provoking conversations around strategy. He combines his experience as an attorney with his life as a speaker to bring out real life experiences on how organisations can better their decisions. His transformational messages have gone viral on all social media platforms attributing to the impact he has had to the nation. He also appeared on all the major radio stations in Zimbabwe with life changing impact He delivers his messages in a practical, impactful manner. Arthur is a practising attorney, and a counsellor and interacts with real life examples of financial chaos. Arthur’s strength lies in simplicity, he connects with most people through his ability to eloquently relate to issues, using practical examples. He is one of Zimbabwe’s leading inspirational speakers, and his messages have cut across the divides. He has worked with many corporates and his practical have inspired employees and left them motivated and ultimately enabled them to be positive in their approaches to life and work. Arthur has (Hons) UZ, LLM from the University of Zimbabwe. Arthur is a devout Christian who is driven by a calling to serve humanity.
Simbisai Gumbo has over 20years of experience in corporate finance and business management and reporting having worked in the Food and Beverages Manufacturing Industries. She has in the past 10 years worked on and implemented numerous significant transactions in carrying out her financial duties as Finance Manager. She hold a MBA from the University of Zimbabwe and DME from the same university.
Mellany Msengezi, a seasoned Marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. She, has held pivotal roles such as Country Director for Gomycode Kenya, a pan African TechEd institution, Global Head Marketing in a leading eCommerce venture across six African markets, Wasoko, Marketing Director at Airtel Networks, and General Manager – Marketing at Econet Wireless Private Limited. Known for her innovative strategies and creative campaigns, Mellany has driven significant growth in brand/product development, digital marketing, and market share expansion, particularly in Mobile Money and Media services. A recipient of the Top Marketer of the Year 2018 award by the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe, Mellany holds a B. Com Honours in Marketing and an MBA from Nottingham Trent University (UK). Her leadership style empowers teams to achieve ambitious goals, with a strong focus on strategy formulation, brand marketing, and digital marketing. Mellany is passionate about delivering exceptional business outcomes and fostering continuous personal growth and development.
Ms Nyaradzo ‘Nyari’ Mashayamombe is the Convener and Founder of “The List” Awards by Identities Media. She is a globally recognized multiple award-winning Women’s Human Rights Advocate, a Lawyer, a Media Entrepreneur, Storyteller and Content Creator. Mashayamombe is the founder of Identities Media a storytelling organization and Tag a Life International (TaLI) a Girls and Young Women’s Rights Organisation. She has worked with the Zimbabwean Parliament in advocating for laws that protect the rights of vulnerable groups to the extent of Acts of Parliament being passed (Education Amendment Act). She is the convener of Adolescent Girls and Young Women Africa (AGYW Africa), a platform for girls and young women across Africa. She is a Development Consultant, Researcher, Conference Facilitator, Speaker on Women’s Issues and Leadership, Dynamic Philanthropist changing the world through engaging all for a safe world habitable by young people especially young women, transforming lives. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Development Studies and BBA in Marketing amongst many of her qualifications.
